If you've visited our website lately, you may have spotted a small camera napping in a corner. Say hello to Snappy, the twin-lens camera from our logo, who has finally stood up on his own two (very spindly) legs.

Where he came from
Since we opened in 2020, our logo has carried a vintage twin-lens reflex camera, the one marked "EST. 2020" beside our name. Cameras like it have two lenses stacked one above the other. You hold the camera at your waist, flip open the hood on top and look down into it: the top lens is for seeing, and the bottom lens takes the picture. Those cameras made square pictures, and that square shape still turns up all the time in the family prints we scan.
So we gave our logo camera a little personality. His top lens became his eye. It looks around, blinks, and squints when he's happy. His bottom lens became his shutter, which snaps shut with a flash and a "click!" when he takes your picture. A curved nameplate sits over his eye like the ones on the classic cameras, and the pop-up viewfinder on his head really does open up and fold back down.
Where to find him
He's tucked into a few spots around the site, and most of them need a click to wake him up.
Next to "Let's Get Started!"
At the top of every studio page, he naps beside the button. Click him, or the button, and he jumps up, hops onto it and presses it for you, which opens our booking page.

At the bottom of every page
Scroll all the way down and you'll find the top of his head peeking up in the corner, looking around. Give him a click to say hi, and he'll pop up, open his viewfinder, hop and wave.

In The Well Tools
On our software pages, he naps next to the Free trial button. Wake him and he'll take your picture before settling back down for another nap.

When a link goes wrong
Mistype an address and he'll help you search for the page, viewfinder up and eye scanning the room. See for yourself.

After you book
Book a phone call, video call or studio visit and he'll be there to say thanks: answering a ringing phone, waving from a video call, or holding a "See you soon!" sign.

Why a mascot?
Saving a family's photos, slides, films and tapes is careful work, and we treat every box that comes through our door that way. But looking through old pictures is also a joy, full of birthday cakes, questionable haircuts and people we miss. Snappy is our small reminder to keep that joy front and center.
If he catches your eye, give him a click. And when you're ready to bring your own boxes of memories back to life, he'll happily press the button for you: Let's get started.
