Software License Terms

Software License for Picture Org Tools

These terms cover the Spoolwell™ Video Preservation Toolbox, Squarewell™ Auto Crop & Straighten, Pivotwell™ Photo Rotation Check, Sweepwell™ Empty Folder Cleaner and any other software from The Picture Org LLC ("we"). By installing or using the software you agree to these terms..

  1. Free trial. You may use the full software free for 21 days on each computer, then for 7 more days with reminders. After that, a license key is needed to keep processing files.

  2. What a license gives you. One license lets one person use the product named on the key on up to 2 computers they use. A business with several people needs one license per person. A license does not expire.

  3. Updates. Updates within the same major version (for example 1.0 to 1.9) are complimentary. A new major version may require an upgrade license purchase..

  4. Moving to a new computer. Use "Remove license from this computer" on the old one and enter your key on the new one. If a computer is lost or broken, email us.

  5. You may not share your key outside these limits, sell or give away the software, remove the license check, or modify the software, except as allowed for the open-source parts below.

  6. Third-party software. The software includes components under their own licenses (FFmpeg under GPL v3, PowerShell under MIT, OpenCV and other libraries under their own terms), listed in the NOTICE file that comes with each tool. Those licenses apply to those components, and nothing here limits your rights under them.

  7. Your files. The software runs on your computer and does not send your photos, videos or files to us. Keep backups before processing irreplaceable originals.

  8. No warranty. The software is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data or other damages from using it; our total liability is limited to what you paid for the license.

  9. Purchases are processed by our reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for your order and handles payment, sales tax and receipts.
