Protecting and storing your printed photos

Once your pictures are organized, you need to protect them

You will spend a lot of time organizing and sorting your original prints. Once you are done, you’ll want to protect and store them in a way that gives them the best chance to survive the ages.

For prints, look for archival quality storage boxes and albums. The materials in these have been tested to be acid-free and not react with the chemical makeup of your photos. Unfortunately, the cheap ones from the craft store will rarely do. If your photo albums are the ‘magnetic’ sticky pages from the 70s and 80s, get those photos out NOW. The glues on those pages are not friendly to photos.

If you need guidance on choosing storage options for your pints, The Picture Org (anizer) is here to help! Get started preparing your photos for the unexpected by contacting us at https://thepictureorg.com/lets-get-started today!
